Road trip 06-13 June 2026
For my birthday I decided to take the week off of work and ride the barroness to Eastern Washington and then up to Seattle. Three days of riding. Three days in Spokane. And three in Seattle.
Saturday 06 June

Hanford Reservation

Wrong turn. OTOH it would not be a proper trip home without at least 15 miles of gravel

Ewan
St John

Sunday
Cheney

Mom's Parents
Spokane
The room in the Davenport.

Monday

Tuesday

Dads parents

Wednesday -- back to St John and then out west.
Scott's in Idaho (I didn't go there)

The Wheel Inn, my first real job and commute

The Saint John Historical Museum and the HS.

Thursday Cashmere to Seattle
This was $30 more than sleeping on the ground at a national park

Leavenworth
Sassy (the dog)

Arrived at Seattle.

The soccer was everywhere

But here

Friday the day at which I turned 62
Had toast and coffee with a fella from bend and his kid who was a big fan of laika

Then moved the barroness to a very expensive all day lot (at Pike Market)

Then went on to find what was left of belltown
The disparity between the gentry and the fied could not be more readily apparent.

On the other hand they had better authentic German food than Leavenworth(tm)

But yeah Gentry amongst the fried

This used to be where you used to eat food court junk and watch the tourists come and go.

I remember spending a lot of time in my PJs outside of Nordies drinking espresso

Went to Orange Dracula where Chad told me where the old bars and resturanuts moved.

Then went to find the ever illusive John Hawkley.

After a quick shower I geared up and went to have dinner and hang out with Troy Swanson...

The Bike and I survived.

Though if I were developing a self parking algorythm I would not get anywhere as near to someone motorcycle as this car did.
You have no idea what some one who doesn't have the big steel box around them will do to you if you mess with their Motorcycle.

Saturday
Ferry to Bainbridge

Georgetown for lunch during the Carnival

Food and art at Smarty Pants

Back

Walking around and dinner

Not sure that the next two photos arent related.

There were like 4 blocks of e-bike variants passing by.

Sunday Heading Home.
This was pretty typical for milage (mix of city and freeway)
Home.
